The PVC revolution In the early Fifties costly and friable lead and copper
piping were still the norm. Searching for variable alternatives, Albert
van Dijk was one of the first to recognise the potential of PVC. DIJKA
Steenwijk, the company he founded together with Jan Katers, rapidly gained
a significant reputation for their range of PVC pipes and fittings. Located
in Northern Netherlands the company's progressive growth lead to the opening of
DIJKA Overpelt, a second production unit in the North of Belgium. In
1987 the DYKA Group was incorporated into Tessenderlo Group, a key step on
the path to today's Europe-wide service Structure.
The near
future Today DYKA is progressively developing the products and
infrastructure that will service your contracting and piping system needs into
the future. As part of Tessenderlo Group our service base includes a
dedicated workforce of over 8300, helping to deliver a consolidated turnover of
more than 1.9 billion Euro's in fiscal 2003. Within the Tessenderlo Group, the
Plastic Pipes Business Unit (DYKA and Sotra-Seperef) employ a workforce of 1150 with a turnover of 250
